A Very Early Canon Lens
Canon 13.5cm F4 lens
One of the first few hundred lenses made with the name "Canon". This Lens was made in Late 1947, and is in Leica Thread Mount.
There is no Rangefinder Coupling, meaning the Photographer had to "Guess" the distance to the subject. The optics were like wax paper, had not been cleaned in 70 years.
After a complete CLA (Clean, Lube, and Adjust),
the glass of this lens is as clear as Waterford Crystal.
Canon M39 Rangefinder Lenses 1939-1971 by Peter Kitchingman, 2008.
